Zimborders GM Ncube gets accolade

Zimborders consortium general manager, Mr Nqobile Ncube has raised Beitbridge’s flag high after being rewarded as the first runner-up (Manager of the year 2023) at the just ended Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) regional awards held in Bulawayo on Friday
The prestigious Matabeleland annual business awards usually attracts over 350 delegates mostly business executives and are held yearly to honor illustrious individuals and corporates.
Zimborders consortium is the government’s development partner that has transformed the country’s busiest port of entry (Beitbridge) and the southern border town at a cost of US$300 million under a 17 and half year’s private public partnership concession.
The project that started three years ago will wind up at the end of this month and the organization will be responsible for maintaining the property and managing its affairs for the duration of the Built Operate and Transfer (BOT) concession (for 17 and half years).
Mr Ncube assumed the hot seat recently after having served for over 20 years as a senior Immigration Officer.
“To me, this award reflects many things. It indicates that the bigger communities are watching our progress and noting. It reflects that Team work works and that that we can break barriers and defy odds. This is a personal milestone in my life,” he told Lotsha FM.
Firebrand businesswoman, Dr Anna Muleya of Lanaheil Investments, Mazunga Safaris and Beitbridge Juicing also walked away from the event with accolades.
