Armed robbers raid two houses

Two families in the Eastley surbub were left counting losses when six armed men raided their homes and went away with cash and cellphones on Friday evening

Sources close to the case told Lotsha FM that a total of four cellular phones and US$300-00 (cash) were stolen from the victims.

Mr Tobias Dzapasi who stays in one of the households said the robberies occured around 12 midnight.

He said the alleged robbers fired one shot leaving behind one bullet shell.

A tenant from one of the houses reportedly sustained injuries when he broke out through the window.

A report was made to the Police.

The area has had trouble with constant robberies, and the latest incident brings to four the number of identical cases that occured in a few months.

At the moment, community members are trying to come up with ways of increasing security around their properties.
