Dulivhadzimu Stadium was again a hive of activity this week with scores of companies and institutions showcasing their products at the Beitbridge Business Expo.

The program is held annually to promote investment in the town and district.

It also gives residents an opportunity to know where to get services from different players.

The initiative runs under the theme “Beitbridge 24-seven”.

This is done to motivate companies to customise and offer services on a 24 hours basis considering that the border post which is the main economic anchor operates on the same time frame.

Today marks the last day of the 3-day Business Expo and the event organizers also issued out awards to outstanding exhibitors.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Mrs Ruth Maboyi and Dr Nicholas Ndebele who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair also graced the expo.

Among those recognised were Mrs Cynthia Gama who came out the best in the Cookout competition.

St Mary’s Catholic took home the best Choir award.

For Government institutions, the Veterinary Department grabbed the accolade in that category.

The best commercial exhibitor award went to Oakleigh House group of schools.

Additionally, the best overall exhibitor went to the Department of Veterinary Services.
