New Central Business District(CBD) Extension

The municipality is working on the new CBD extension in line with its transformation into a modern city.
The Mayor, Councillor Munyaradzi Chitsunge said the idea was to design a new CBD with a minimum of three storey buildings, a typical new city model.
He said the municipality has engaged an Engineering firm to design the roads, water and sewer network and that engineers are on the ground working flat out to ensure this is achieved.
In addition, the local authority has embarked on an Urban Renewal programme to address floods related challenges in the Dulilvhadzimu rank area, to reorganise and reshape that part of the town.
This exercise will revive, modernise and renew the old location and bring it to speed with new developments.
The programme is currently at the adjudication stage.
