Zimbabwe to introduce new Drivers licensing system that is SADC compliant
According to a Press Statement made by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural development Hon F. T MHONA (MP); the second Republic has committed to improving the Country’s Road Safety performances through formulating a sound Legal Policy and Administrative mechanisms.
In his statement; Honorable F. T Mhona said “Our commitment is on improving the enforcement capacity of all traffic law enforcement agents by embracing Information Communication Technology and digital technologies to record violations and enforce traffic regulations.
He also went on to highlight that speed limiting devices, a Government monitored vehicle tracking system for all public service buses will also be introduced to ensure compliance to prescribed speed limits and make it easier to identify the driver of a particular bus.
