Befitting send off for education icon SS MOYO

Hundreds of mourners thronged the Makakavhule cemetry to pay their last respects to the late education veteran Mr Siyafa Sam Moyo on Saturday.

The late educationist, popularly known as the icon gaffer in and around Matabeleland South Region, was described by many as a marvel in the education sectors.

Speaker after speaker spoke so highly of Mr Moyo’s contribution in the education sector, and amongst the speakers was Provincial Education Director Mat South, Mrs Beatrice Manjere.

“The district and the education sector has lost a good leader, visionary, a man who inspired many to reach greater heights ,” said Mrs Manjere.

“It was a privilege to have known and worked with such a noble man, I learnt a lot from him and he thrived to see the best happening inthe education sector,” said Mr Mbofholoho Freedom Muleya , the District Schools Inspector.

Mr Moyo died 27 March following a short illness.

He was born on the 19 November 1942 .
