
Govt starts rehabilitation of Beitbridge Bulawayo road

The Government has moved in to rehabilitate some sections of the badly damaged Beitbridge to Bulawayo highway.
The commercial road links the border town and major cities and some countries in the Sadc region including Zambia.
A contractor is already on site attending to some sections of the road between the Mapani area and the Todds area.
The road has become a nightmare for many motorists most of whom now dreading night driving.
Construction workers were seen on Friday patching potholes in the Mazunga area .
Some are already busy buidling a new road between Makhado and Todds.
Where it used to take an average of 3 hours to travell between Bulawayo and Beitbridge motorists are now taking up to 5 hours.
