ZRP arrests five more alleged robbers at a roadblock
The police arrested five more suspected robbers have at a security roadblock in Beitbridge on Wednesday.
Following the arrests, three pistols, 9mm rounds, four okapi knives, and two paper spray canisters were recovered from the team.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrests in a statement on Friday.
He identified the suspects as David Ncube (23), Marshal Gadzire (22), Simbarashe Madyise (37), Abel Ngwena (22) and Ashmore Kakono Mubayira (30) .
They have been charged for unlawful possession of three pistols, 9mm round, four okapi knives, two paper spray canisters and 10 cigarettes of prepared dagga.
The development comes a few days when five others were nabbed in connection with three armed robbery cases committed in Beitbridge.
