Child President applauds Sadc nations on rights

Child President, Neville Mavu has commended SADC head of states for recognising the important of children’s rights at the World Children’s Rights day held in Namibia last week.
He said by providing children with a seat at the table through Junior Parliamentarians, councils, and other forms of child led groups, they have shown that their voices matter and our perspectives area valued.

Mavu was speaking on Thursday at Malala Primary School during the commemorations of the World Children’s Day.
The event was addressed by heads of missions from across the globe and held under the theme for every child, every right.

Mavu said children’s rights are not just words on paper, but they are the foundation upon which societies should be build and renewed as such we must ensure that’s every child enjoys their rights to survival, development, protection, and participations.
